Out of the dozen or so times I've seen Neurosis live, there have been 4 occasions where Mr. Scott Kelly has intentionally smashed his forehead into a mic or mic stand, bloodying himself. This is a man dedicated to the intensity of his craft. My guitar hero.

I would have to say that a true actor is not a performer in that way.. Before I go out on stage I go through a process of becoming another person that is on the same sacred primitive level as neurosis. A true actor feels every emotion in full effect or it IS bullshit. Neurosis helps me get to that place

@caseyforever That's cool though, Neurosis is definitely something that isn't for everyone. When I first saw them live I was somewhat dismayed by the bleakness and repetition of the music, coupled with the images being projected. It was like the evil twin of psychedelia without the hippie love and sunshine. I didn't know what to think, I was disturbed. Then I loved them. But I get you though. I've tried to get into the Swans but I just don't like them, but still respect them for their influence
