The 2008 Kawasaki Ninja 250R is a completely redesigned sportbike that comes equipped with a full-cowl, dual headlight, and a separate sheet similar to that of a super sportbike that offers functional performance.

The power unit of the new bike is a 4-stroke, liquid cooled DOHC parallel twin cylinder engine that lets riders enjoy greater low-end and mid-range performance while savoring the taste of power from the twin cylinder engine.

Fuel is supplied by fuel injection through an injector that atomizes fuel to a spray diameter of 60 microns, and the bike is also equipped with the same dual throttle valve used in super sports models. The result is excellent response through the high speed range.

The brake system features 2 pot calipers in the front and rear, and the front and rear are equipped with 290mm and 220mm outer diameter pedal disk brakes respectively to provide a feeling of security and a more direct operating feel.

The Ninja 250R is available in Lime Green, Ebony, and Candy Plasma Blue for a total of 3 color variations. The base price is 474,286 yen and the release date is scheduled for April 5th.

  • i checked into one of these for my son. loved the numbers. enough power to go onto the highway, but not past 100mph. great gas mileage with the new bikes, a lot better than the earlier ones. insurance was cheaper than i thought! its not a super bike class. great styling for a young kid, great for 250cc range. trust me i searched for little less bike, dollar for dollar a great deal. hes going to be getting one next year. i'm so glad its not going to be a 600cc bike, i'm still a parent.

  • fule injection ??!?!?! I thought the ninnja 250R has a carburetor

  • pretty funny, i looked at my bikes vin number and its made in thailand, its japanese lol

  • Would love one. Moving up from a 125cc scooter (yeah, go ahead and laugh). I'm just not sure 125cc -> 250cc is enough of a jump and if I'll 'outgrow' it or not like I did the scooter. BUT... That said I (oddly) don't ride for the speed, it's more the riding itself. Just a little hard to do the speed limit on the scooter sometimes... @_@

  • @MitchGuitar12 HAHAHAHAAHH!!! Oh gawd. ^^
