The Scherzo of the 9th Symphony by Beethoven; recorded on synthesizer by Alexander Tuschinski.

Please click on "Watch in HD" for stereo-sound!

It took six months to record this well-known movement:
The music was programmed and recorded, using the original-score.
I had to rekove the repetitions, to keep the video under 10 minutes (youtube-length-limit for videos).

I got the idea after listening to Wendy Carlos' interpretation of this movement on the moog-Synthesizer, which was also used in "A clockwork Orange" by Stanley Kubrick.

Enjoy the music!

  • It's gorgeousness and gorgeosity made flesh.

  • What I'd give to hear the entire symphony arranged for Moog...

  • Nice work!

  • @supermariojones - also check out Wendy Carlos (prev. Walter Carlos) music from A Clockwork Orange. A synth performance of the Scherzo is in there too.
