For what is it if a man gains his whole life and loose his soul .I agree with you .. Giving to the poor is indeed good , But I don't want to send a full belly to hell . God will lead certain ones to do what he will's them to do . And this idea was birthed in him for the gospel ..Others have some for feeding poor ,and ect . i will make a sign that says...if you need food, come here...if you need Jesus, come here. If you need truth, come here....Jesus never taught them without first feeding them. If you don't believe he will provide don't sign up or even bother. He will, if you just believe in him.
