@RRaquello HaHa!! That dialect is pure Boston Yankee. Conniff was raised not far from Boston and still talked like he was from the area throughout his life. He was proud of his roots.

Boy, when he talks, introducing the song, he sounds exactly like Harry Truman. I wonder if Margaret was one of the girl singers.

This is a gem! Ray was such a humble, soft-spoken man who brought joy to millions and millions for years. His arrangements will live on as classics.
A Melhor do mundo !

Ray Conniff was a great composer, and trombonist. His forte' was arranging. One of his concepts was to use human voices as musical instruments. He would double up female voices with higher pitched instruments like trumpets, violins, etc, and lower male ones with trombones, etc. Mr. Conniff recorded with great singers like Johnny Mathis, and Johnny Ray, and others. I'm grateful to Ray Conniff for inspiring me to love music and great melodies. He died on Oct. 12, 2002 after suffering an accident.
