@davocellist120 I think maybe it's because she's short? Like maybe her arms are shorter than usual so she holds the bow a bit higher than normal... I don't know but every time I see her play it gets crazier and crazier!
-
@lkpp90x Totally agree!! :)
-
Ah, she plays "soo bad" , that must be the reason why she has so much success! Please, do it better then.
-
You are asking if Ms. Weilerstein is the "new" Jacqueline du Pre'? No,never.

@warandcheese Closed fingers = starker-esque, believe me. her pinky, yeah no starker there, lots of movement, not starker either. close fingers....thats what i said
-
@jwunschie14 hm....dont see much starker there believe me :)
-
yo yo ma is soooo much better than this
-
@lkpp90x it seems to be an interesting mix between starker and piatigorsky methods. closed concentrated fingers as a unit as starker teaches, yet total flexibility and control in the fingers rather than the wrist, as piatigorsky teaches. everyone's different!

I have to say I'm most definitely a fan of her Kodaly interpretation. The biggest thing about her playing (whether you like her style or not) is that it stands out. I mean, you did just watch this video of your own free will, didn't you?

@wfholch It does'nt really make sence to listen to the music, when half of it is missing, does it?!
She has the craziest bow hold ever. But hey, whatever works!
