Vancouver's title is actually one of the most *livable* cities in the world, if it makes a difference to the folks arguing in the comments =T

It's not a glamorous place or anything, just very peaceful and modern at the same time. Vancouverites were just as surprised as you guys when we topped the list- I thought my little city was just an average town :P

drunkninja, if you got such big balls to badmouth the U S, then prove it. do it on a U S video, not a Canadian one. I'd like to see you bash Chicago on a Chicago video, NYC on an NYC video, LA on an LA video, etc. Pick on someone your own size or match. Dont defend England and bash the U S on a Canadian clip. It's all good beachhead. that drunkard londoner is in denial. He knows the U S stole the crown from England as the current world superpower. Yea England WAS the strongest nation in the world but sorry we the U S took the crown and overthrew England. He cannot deny. We are the strongest nation on the planet now. London bows down to DC-the most powerful city on the planet! And of course, DC too outparties London. More party cities of ours include, SF, Honolulu, San Diego, the list is countless...

And to be fair, America offers 16 world cities, compared to Britain's 4. Yes you have far more, but if you look at it in terms of world cities per million people or per trillion dollars in GDP, we're doing much better for ourselves.


There are 10 different tiers of world cities. Only 2 cities occupy the top spot, Alpha World Cities ++.


Those cities are London and New York. They're brothers, close in every way, but nowadays London outshines New York.

There is more to see and more to do in London than NY, hence why there's more visitors. Better literary scene too, and it's the unofficial capital of the world now.

btw the first plane was flown in Britain, the first manned plane in France... the jet engine came from Britain and the jetliner from here also.

London is the financial capital of the world, has the HQ of the world's largest company, is the most visited city in the world by international visitors, has the best museums, better art museums, better fashion, better nightclubs, music scene, music venues, shopping, restaurants theatres and sights than NY.
