A review of 2 great NES games. One released in the arcade and later on the NES, and the other in Japan only. Although the second game is insane, it's a good change of pace. It goes through the whole 8 or so minutes, even though the first review ends after the 4 minute mark.

Music Credits: HooDoo Gurus- Bittersweet

EDIT: Solomon's Key 2, AKA (Solomon No Kagi 2) was released in the US under a different name. Fire n' Ice

  • You know what game I thought was awesome that no one played. Solstice for the NES.

  • People never play the great ones, man. haha

  • I'm dying. This is funny as hell. I remember playing this game religiously. Great review

  • Ya I love this game too (although not religiously). This was seriously overlooked, and it's good to know other people have played it too.

  • do you have reviews of games that you didnt like? by the way i like ur reviews !!

  • I have made a few, but they turned out too AVGN/Armake21-esque. I went on a angry rampage and yelled a lot. Sound good? No. Very few can pull off that formula for reviewing. I'll do stuff I like for now.

  • Solomon? I thought the character's name is Dana.

  • every day i cook steaks and hamburgers to eat.

  • This game was awesome solomon could kick Marios ass he makes bricks because he was a stone mason, that knew the keys to freemasonry....Take that conspiracy junkies.

  • by the beard of zeus its come true!!!

  • The mock voice is a strange feature.

The second game is superior in that it is purely a thinking man's game, not an annoying amalgamation of hectic enemy evasion and staircase construction. The first game needs a high frustration tolerance as you'll likely see several game overs before you accustom with each level. There's also an unnecessary time limit.

Fire n' Ice is much more to my liking, and you didn't even see a verdict as warranted.

  • The little elf guy's name was Dana in Solomon's Key, not Solomon.

    Dur.

  • by the beard of osiris...its true!!!...lmfao

  • Fire 'n Ice , as mentioned, WAS released.

I loved Solomon's Key but Fire 'n Ice didn't really appeal to me. You pretty much nailed it, they took away your ability to jump, make blocks(mostly) , shoot fire, fight monsters.

Basically the sequel took away everything I liked. Though it wasn't bad, it was just disappointing.

  • lol you funny as hell bro good job

  • i got it ^^
