River Recovery

August 5, 2011. A Green 2010 Jeep Wrangler with trailer was backing down a boat ramp when the weight pulled the vehicle and trailer over an underwater ledge. The Aspinwall Fire Department and other Allegheny County stations were deployed. Once on scene operations were quickly downgraded from rescue to recovery. Shortly after sun down rescue divers were called in from Crest Twp. who in cooperation with a wrecker/towing company recovered the vehicle from roughly a 12 foot submergence in murky water. All property was recovered. Far warning this video is not exciting in any way (unless you are Tom Witas).
