At Hurco's open house July 25, 2008, the Today's Machining World staff interviewed Hurco technical supervisor Paul Gray, who demonstrated how to a use a VMX42SR vertical machining center to create this bust of a head.

  • @kevinp860 How do you "program" a mashine which needs a xyz position and tool-contact points IJK?

    Are those mashines not navigated JUST with cam software?

  • I run a Hurco VMX60SR at my shop, beautiful machine easy to run and setup but it is very temperamental depending on the tool path software and post.

  • Hurco is the best machine out there,,,, i have programmed them for the last 20 years!!!

  • I think he meant to say "since it's a Hurco it can't cut metal".
