Wow cool I have the same car ! your cars color is the same as mine too ! what carb is on the your 280s ? My 75' 280s has a 450cfm Holley 4bbl conversion on it from Jam Engineering.

@LordHumungusFL I have a pierburg built, Solex 4A1 designed carb on it. Completely original from my understanding, trouble-free and really clean!

@WakemanFan90 I use my 450SE as a daily driver- it obviously uses a bit more fuel than your average 4 cylinder buzzbox, but for a car of its size, it's perfectly fine.

W116 280SE US version i think it's over 120 mph @ top speed, But unlike Euro-spec Mercedes can be able to reach at a top speed @ 200 km/h

W116 was 160 hp on the 280 S and 185 on the 280 SE....

nice information about the car and a good engine! but i thought the 280S had 140hp and 280SE fuelinjected engine had 160hp, but thats on the w108 maybe their different, good car anyway.

And i appreciate you driving it a little harshly (at least if you don't do that too often) Every car needs to see the "Autobahn" sometimes.

Especially the 280 S (with NO fuel injection) sounds reeally great
