The muzzle makes no difference. The bear is just playing with him. An angry swipe from one of those paws would snap the man's neck.

@WonderWeiss324 God given natural resources also include the mans mind, and no mankind wasn't dominated by bears or other wild animals until the creation of guns; You mean without applicable resources would a man at that situation be torn to pieces if it were not a game.
