  • @charliesmilton It's a pretty big stretch to suggest that I think, although I wouldn't be surprised if it influenced something that later influence the office. This was such an original and influential comedy.

    I think 'The Office' and the David Brent character were influenced more by Alan Partridge than anyone else...despite what Gervais says about it!

  • The modern Reggie Perrin is terrible. It's (not) a joke..

  • He also kicked ass in 2001: A Space Odyssey: his scene with William Sylvester is supposedly what convinced young Tom Hanks to go into acting.
