  • You know, it's curious. A few people here cry out that the Imperium is Corrupt, and bastards for leaving the Eldar to die?

Yet to the Eldar, ALL Humanity, including the moaners, are nothing more then scum. They would still consider us expendable.

I for one am glad the Guard left the Eldar to die.

The Eldar do the same MUCH more often, causing the deaths of billions of humans to save one of their own.

    They disgust me.

  • At least Sturnn gives them a fitting send off. If the Eldar get through the gate first, fucking Taldeer doesnt even acknowledge the sacrifice of the Imperial Guard, she just monologs about the Eldar's place in the Galaxy and leaves them to rot, never even addressing us once.

  • Relic Release a statement that it was a combined ending

The IG and Eldar Won, with Ghorgutz making off with Crull's head.

The IG got their titan back, the eldar and IG vanquished the Necrons, and Ghorgutz got himself a shiny new head for his pointy stick. EVERYBODY'S HAPPY.

Except crull, but nobody cares about crull.

  • @XmjfanforeverX That's not true. If the Orks won in Winter Assault, then Taldeer would have been dead.

  • This is the canon ending of that mission. To all people who say it was the Eldar, first of all, a piece of wargear in Retribution confirms it, and second of all, you never actually SEE Taldeer die. It's very possible that she escaped the attack and left.

  • Was the Tallarn and Biel-tan eldar alliance the only one where they both didn't stab each other in the back?

  • @Dynaphus there not real uknow

  • I'm not arguing that the Eldar didn't deserve that; arrogant buggers that they are. But the Farseer did say something hauntingly true in the greater picture - without the Eldar, the Imperium might well face its doom. Both races need each other, even if they pretend not to

  • @NicholasGeschke In the novels yes, however in the games it doesnt go like that Orks were victorious in WA which is later proven in DC where space marines rise as victor which leads to a disaster of Imperium in SS where none of the 3 imperial factions stood victorious.

  • @7399Fya

Although they dont actually die in that version.

  • @lordj15987 Hahahah Amen Brother! For the Imperium!!

  • In the Dawn of War novels, Taldeer appears aboard the Imperial Navy's flagship, alive after the Necrons are defeated. She asks for Gabriel Angelos, who negotiates a truce with the Eldar. As a result, he later travels to Arcadia and takes a weapon that they claim can destroy the Necrons permanently. The Eldar say thanks, and leave.

Meanwhile, Gen. Sturnn and his men are commended and are busy cleaning up the remnants of the Orks - and are busy being badass and readying for the next campaign.
