Anyone could keep Cassowaries as long as you have enough sense to respect them. I have kept them for 10 years and bred them. They are VERY rarely ever mean, and I go in with mine regularly. They can be dangerous if they want, but usually only in breeding season and when provoked. This bird looks young, maybe 2 or 3 years old? Do you breed them?
