  • Almanzo & Laura did have a son that they never named. He died after a couple of weeks. He is buried in the Ingalls family plot in De Smet as "Baby Wilder". So sad. Rose had a son & he died as well. No one is sure if he was stillborn or a miscarriage or died shortly after birth.

  • Their corncob doll is not a very good replica of what the real one was like.

  • @tkegal -- No, they did have a baby son and he died in infancy. Laura writes about it in her book "The First Four Years."

  • @90Lolland That was only for the Television series. The real Laura and Almonzo never had a son. Only their daughter Rose.

  • I absolutely love this stuff. These women took control of their lives and ran with it...

  • @90Lolland Yes they did but he didn't live very long. Rose had a child that died as well and she never had another. Laura and Almonzo had no other grandchildren their legacy ends with her.

  • Rose were not their only child! they totally forgot about their son?

  • Laura Ingalls Wilder and her daughter Rose Wilder Lane are so pretty. Almanzo James Wilder is a very nice looking man next to Laura.

  • Excellent video :)

  • Wonderful, thank you.
