Protect Our Water - Check Car Oil Leaks (EPA Contest)

One easy way you can prevent water pollution is to make sure your car is not leaking oil. Americans spill 180 million gallons of used oil each year. That's 16 Exxon Valdez spills every year.

Oil leaked from your car gets transported into the nations waterways when it rains. Also, make sure to properly dispose of used oil when changing your oil. Oil down drains or poured into the grass get into our waters the same way and contribute to water pollution.

@Gentle Every single auto, truck, van, and suv on the planet leaks a little bit of oil. It is impossible to stop all oil leaks in vehicles. If we all start riding horses again, they create horse shit and make methane gas, so where does it end. Why don't we just eliminate transportation altogether and go back to the "Stone Age". In the new "Stone Age" the only problem is, there would not be any Velociraptors to eat all the morons.

@kentw50 - Thanks for watching. Actually, if we eliminated CO2 from the air then plants wouldn't have what they need to create sugars. Carbon Dioxide is necessary for plant growth.
