On some cameras you can take stills from video while it's still on the camera! Mine has this feature and it works very well! Only the quality of the picture isn't the best.

hey, do your videos open in quicktime?

if so you can take stills from the videos, my dad showed me last week, pretty handy actually, got the date for the scud, scud 16m and R8 shoot now : )
