My uncle bought a computer from John von Neumann in 1956. von Neumann said the damn thing was too slow and he'd always beat it in calculations anyway.

My aunt Agatha remembers buying a second-hand pop-up toaster from Werner Heisenberg in 1971. It did four slices at once.
