Tonight Ch. 4 {A Jonas Brothers Love Story}

random song I know.. but i like it. sorry it has been FOREVER since i've posted, but I've been EXTREMELY BUSY.

Oh what had I said, shouldn't I just get this over with and tell that boy how I really feel about all of this. I thought I should, but maybe I shouldn't. I covered my words up as best as I could.
"Well, I mean I like him I guess, but not like THAT at least I don't think I do. I just wasn't expecting that to happen..", I said
"Well… what did you expect?", Nick said grinning as he walked closer to me.
"Honestly, you wouldn't want to know."
"Oh, but I do…", he said making me give in
"Well, I was expecting you. I was expecting everything I every would have dreamed of, what I'd been looking forward too since who knows how long ago. Joe's great, but Joe isn't you."
"Wow.", Nick said. His mouth wide open.
"I knew I shouldn't have told you.", I said embarrassed.
"No Alex, thank god you did, because I like you too, but I wish I'd known earlier, you are going out with Joe!"
"I know I am, and he is taking things too fast. I can't be in a relationship like THAT with him, we are best friends, and it's all ruined."
"Why'd you say yes Alex?"
"I really have no clue whatsoever. But at least I know one thing."
"And what is that?"
"That underneath it all I like you, and you like me. And as long as we are the only two people who know that, then we will be perfectly fine."
We jumped up onto the trampoline and just laid there, like the good old days. The stars above us shining as bright as they ever had.
"It's a beautiful night", Nick said breaking the silence.
"Sure is."
He looked over at me, and I looked right at him, the perfect moment, and by the look in his eyes, I knew he wanted to kiss me, but he held back, because knowing Nick, he couldn't stand the guilt. So we talked, and talked until finally I fell asleep, and I suppose he did too because our awakening wasn't very pleasant.

"WHAT IS THIS!!???", I heard someone scream.
My eyes adjusted to the daylight, and I heard Nick saying
"Joe.. Joe it's not what you think, we just fell asleep, please Joe… PLEASE!"
Then I heard someone get hit, scream, hit again, smacked across the face, then some more screaming. I couldn't understand what in the world was going on… then it hit me. I fell asleep outside on the trampoline, and Nick had too, and Joe was here getting the completely wrong idea.
"STOP!", I yelled.
"Alex, come with me, you cannot see this…this jerk anymore, and if I catch you out here again with him, he will be in the emergency room before you can yell STOP okay…. Now come with me.", he said angrily.
Sheesh what happened to Joe, I've never seen him so tense, so protective, and I didn't like it. He took me into his room, he had a hard grip on my arm. This wasn't the real Joe. Not the one I'd known.
"Listen Alex, you aren't even going to lay eyes on Nick anymore. You can't talk to him, you can't walk with him, you can't secretly go outside at night to meet up with him, NO, and I will keep a close close watch on you."
"JOE YOU CAN'T MAKE ME STAY AWAY FROM NICK! WE ARE SO OVER."
"Hahaha, you REALLY shouldn't say things like that, because I'll let you in on a little secret eh? I'm Nick's OLDER brother, I can RUIN HIS LIFE, I can get him in trouble, heck I could break his arm and I wouldn't get blamed for it."
"Okay, okay Joe! What happened to you."
"Nothing happened to me Alex. I just want you AWAY from Nick, and WITH me at all times. That is all. So are we agreed. You stay clear of my little brother, and I won't bother him. But if you do… well then things might change okay?"
"Okay okay, agreed."
And he pulled me out of the room, dragging me downstairs. I, for the first time in my whole life was scared of Joe. Deathly afraid of him, and I couldn't imagine things getting much worse, but boy was I in for a surprise.
