My first character: Youmu_K

As the title says, this will be my first character for mugen. It's kind of weird that my first one would be Youmu from the Touhou games, but I've always wanted a version of her that would mostly rely on her melee attacks rather than projectile spamming. Being the impatient jerk I am, I thought I'd give it a shot and try to make the Youmu that I had envisioned.

She is not accurate to any of the source games and instead focuses on melee attacks with her sword rather than relying on projectile spam.

Youmu is around 80-90% complete with additional fixes and changes made after this video was made. Expect a release very soon and even though I haven't even released my first character yet, I'm already starting on my second one who's already 70% complete: Everyone's favorite gate guard Hong Meiling.

you guys obviously cannot play Youmu if you think she has to spam projectiles in the original games.

she's actually the only one who does not need to spam them. her combos are 95% melee only.

omfg, Youmu can kick arse now without blazing the entire screen in sparks. This is definitely a great thing in my opinion. I despised IaMP/SWR gameplay, but with this Youmu coming out, and Meiling on the way, I might just grow a huge interest in using these two.

I can't wait to see the demo vid for China, Kohaku. I hope she can pull off chombos like Youmu can. xD
