  • I never had any good teachers when I went to high school and it made me pretty apathetic to study generally until I was about 20 and became 'an information addict'; not just an information addict addict - there's a lot of shitty information out there - but a 'critical thinking' addict. I went from not caring about study to entering university at 24 and now, at 28, winning a scholarship and writing my PhD thesis. You gotta keep learning and adapting; the world is changing too quickly.

  • That's excellent! :D

I know what you're saying about the critical thinking about. That's SUPER important. Otherwise you turn into a... well. Yeah... lol

  • haha when did you go in? I went in 2000, mushrooms and weed was a huge catalyst though

    my 2 cents

Less thinking more action information hoarding sometimes enables my procrastination addiction leading to disappointment then depression etc etc

I usually read 2-3 books at a time myself, also as far as information it is kinda like eating too much makes you gorged and lazy, too little and you atrophy so moderation is key

  • Exactly right! I think when I went in I was WAY too far on the hoarding side. I went in in 2000 as well. Then in 2001 and again in 2003... lol

  • hey cool video could you check out mine? if you like my videos you should subscribe, lol well keep up the good work and have a nice day :)

  • I don't know if schools and teachers are actually able to deal with all the information that is coming out. The ed. system has reached it's breaking point, it's way past it actually... let's be serious, a pro mmorpg player needs to know more math than is requiered for the average Jo to finish high school.... now what that video you've shown DOESN'T say, is how much from all the processed data by google, or myspace, facebook is actually.... porn, or irrelevant... not all information is important

  • wow well after seeing your video on "Information Addicts", it triggered my mind that the new generation is required to learn more as the technology advances, in order to stay on top that is...and when you say you have to learn how to absorb information on your own. i agree

  • The "Did You Know" Video is just an updated version of "Shift Happens" Did they change the name or something? :P

  • Wow! I just checked out the, "Did you know?" video. It was simply amazing and so fascinating.

  • "We must use everything in our power to stop light from entering the African mind..." -G. Washington (U.S 1st Pres) Being the most informed population ever thus-far, we should all be happy & take advantage that we have access to all the information that's out there...so Learn! The system MAY teach us the basics, but we must stay motivated & start on the path of Self-Mastery. Which may not be a simply path but a rewarding one; & never ceasing to learn does make the path a little easier.

  • Well, it's no secret that knowledge is power. There were group(s) of people who were kept away or prohibited from learning at one point in (our) history. So being an information addict...I really have no idea if there's a such thing; Now talking from experience, I do believe that there's a such thing as starting too many projects @ once.

  • I think people can get caught up in watching CNN or checking the internet all the time and forget about acting in the real world, doing something about what their learning about. Also, quit criticizing schools so hard without coming up with a solution. It's easy to criticize. Not so easy to come up with solutions.

  • You can never have too much information. We need to learn and expand our brain with SOMETHING, right? ;)

  • That's pretty much what I'm seeing and feeling. Thanks for the comment. :)
