In Forbidden Lies, filmmaker Anna Broinowski investigates the case of Norma Khouri Bagain, a Jordanian women who wrote the best selling Forbidden Love, a supposedly nonfiction book about an 'honor killing' that allegedly took place in Amman. Forbidden Love book was interpreted by many Jordanians, including prominent women, as an misrepresentation of Islam. As the book's errors and impossibilities were pointed out, Khouri's story and reputation began to fall apart.

People she is a con artist found a way to con western during a time that western were looking for someone like her to make everything legit (woman rights, bad Muslim, berbarian Arabs.....) western have a taste of your own medicin. True she was a Jordanian but she was is the USA for so long that she become more American then the real American lol.....

@DanHadan She probably would have been asked to change locations and names. I believe what she was signing the contract for was swearing that the events of the novel themselves were true. So she was lying either way but she probably isn't lying about changing names, locations and dates.
