In this tutorial Connor Tuts explains how to crop out a person two different ways. These ways both make the person or thing cropped look realistic with the background (adjust color settings for more realism). Please visit ConnorTuts.com for more tutorials or subscribe!

  • how can u save it to put on html pls. help...

  • @TheLarryorpilla There are a couple ways you could do this. One would be to use the slice tool (found underneath the crop tool). Make a square around what you want to be saved as an image. Then go to File > Save for Web & Devices... Then choose the file type on the top right (such as PNG or JPG) and click save at the bottom right. Make sure to choose slices or something from the drop-down menu.

Another option is to just copy and paste the image into a new document and save.

  • whats the x tool how did you recover his face at 3:07? when i pressed x it just filled with black paint when locked a transparent when unlocked.. nice vid plz help

  • @sleepyheadx7 I meant the "X" key on your keyboard. Make sure you have the mask selected, otherwise you will see black paint.

  • Very helpful tutorial. Thank you.

  • @theC4K3is4lie you would have to use the crop tool and then save it as a jpg or a png if you'd like to retain the transparency.

  • @ConnorCrosbyPrdctns how can we get it so when we save as an image after cropping, WITHOUT resizing or loading/saving another file, photoshop does NOT render all that extra space?

  • @JetPr0ducti0ns I suggest the refine edges tool.

  • i did both stuff but all around the picture it doesnt not look nice especially when it comes to the hair i put a pic in a black background and i can see white bits with the hair :| do u know anyway of like blending the image with thebackground?

  • Thank you so much for uploading these videos.

I think your videos are very informative and really easy to understand, not many photoshop 'teachers' on youtube can claim that trait. So well done and Kudos to you buddy :))
