George Bernard Shaw, Upton Sinclair, H.G. Wells, ... basically, the "required reading" list of socialist authors anointed by the Left and forced down the throats of American students for generations.

Jonah Goldberg, author of the provocative new book entitled "Liberal Fascism", on Glenn Beck's show.

  • i pose the same question to all of you who watch this video and answer me this. i in no way condone fascism but what exactly is wrong with fascism without racism and "gas chambers"

  • @bobdylan4evr

Since you find nothing wrong with it, why do you profess your opposition to it?

  • There's a lot more to fascism then what you are trying to point out just because some things correlate with fascism doesn't mean they're fascist. They mostly correlate with socialism, social capitalism. Fascism is more about ideology and power of "the state" through nationalism and militarism, this is what defines "fascism" not public education and health care.

  • You are right, my points were that fascism is based in socialism. its the idea that the state should manage every aspect of business, life and industry. Communists hate the fact that fascism is a form of socialism because of industry teaming up with government to form fascism. All left wing ideologies are government involvment in life, industry, business and education. True right wing ideologies are that of the individual living free of government involvement. W Bush was a socialist.

  • @HHODork Correct! And what I always find troubling is that fascist governments and industries "teamed up". It was a takeover of those industries in order to reach a desired end.

  • @HHODork if you are unaware of this there was private ownership in fascist countries

  • "wacko militant gun nuts" -- poor choice of words considering the LAST so-called Liberal pair of him & her Democrat lawyers to defraud their way into the White House, and too by aping Republican tax cutters, actually slaughtered over 76 citizens, including 20 children and 2 pregnant women, after a 51 day military seige of their church in Waco.

As for Identity Politics, ALL race-based groups, from La Raza to KKK to Black Panthers (wink), are all sponsored by Dem's & "Liberal" organizations.

  • Actually read the book. The author continually mentions how the Christian Right is not all fascist, but a small minority are who also happen to be waco... i mean wacko militant gun nuts. The Christian Identity is a scary group aswell but I don't remember them being mentioned much in the book.

Blaming citizens? There is a difference between pigheaded uncultured buffoons and hard working proletariats who never had the chance at a good education.

  • That's a stunning array of muddled notions.

The only relevant point I can extract from it is the fallacy that if one fascistic sect of socialism disagrees with another, then they can't both be fascistic. Clearly, that is nonsensical.

Suggesting that national anthems and pledges evidences fascism is as silly any of your other notions.

So-called Liberals favor an ever expanding nanny-state encroaching on ever more of our lives and livelihoods. That is fascistic.

  • "American Fascists: The Christian Right and the War on America "

Exposing the full title -- merely writing it down -- is enough to expose the fascist bent of the author, as well as his bigotry.

Socialists, whether they are right-wing (fascist) or left-wing (communist) or any mix thereof, have a rich history of blaming the citizens, their culture and their theology.

  • Culture is an exchange if ideas, by saying that a thought influenced by an intellectual is wrong sounds incredibly fascist. The Nazi's continually referred to universities as breeding grounds for reds. This in turn led to the proletariat growing a hatred for the bourgeoisie. Ever heard of Dominion theory, all those wackos hide behind patriotism with a butchered vocabulary involving nationalistic words. They use the Anthem and the Pledge of Allegiance as battle hymns and the BoR as a weapon.

  • sorry i meant american fascists, i was really tired last night, just got back from Baltimore. Regarding it impossible to form an independent thought, pretty much all of your comrades are spouting the same hatred that Lou Dobbs and Glenn Beck say on TV. Lou Dobbs has been called out several times for having facts grossly wrong when using them as a fear mechanism. You sound just like a line from Schlateger "Whenever I hear of culture... I release the safety catch of my Browning!"
