5/6 on any but no matter the size will test it's very limits. Hope your life time warrenty is up to date. Our 12 wt. was a Diamondback and they are way overbuilt so it would be more of a 14 wt. good luck.

Had we not harpooned the fish it would have been a new world record on 20lb test with a fly rod.
