@kristijanadrian They were young adults in a society that had gone through a meat grinder of a war, total economic collapse, occupation, and an insane ruthless dictatorship leading the society to hell. Don't be flippant about such things. They paid with their lives for the chance to speak the truth.

by the way, this song was written and sung by university students during the 18th century throughout Germany. Yes, it is political and most likely was sung later. But is much older than that. It was already sung by people like the brothers Grimm.

It would be interesting if you'd be concrete in your statements. Which 'wrong' thoughts 'significant' subjects? Did you know that Germany is one of the very few countries without media censorship? Which can't be said for Australia

@Jojo0mg They don't? I suppose they just add it up to their anti-pc banned collection of books... lol I don't have time to lecture on about 'freedom of speech', internet censorship, political persecution, the anti-deutsche elements, etc in Germany and in most western nations. Western govs are essentially run by criminal globalist plutocrats. google 'EU was not meant to be democratic' and do your own reserach instead of parroting the controlled media's slongans of 'freedom' and democracy.

@bmike653 You're not making that much sense... Yes, the banks fucked with us. No, they don't burn books in the Eu. And how is germany draconian in this aspect? There is only one thing which can bring you to jail here, if you state it in public, and that is to deny the holocaust.
-
@Amiduffer They haven't? Trying to be anti- PC in Europe and Australia can land you in prison. They do much worst things than that, it just that is not on tv, 'cause nobody cares... Besides, they are already resorting to terror tatics, just watch 'occupy wallstreet' (especially the ones from Australia) vids and you'll see it yourself.
Anyway, too bad that tyranny and repression are creeping up again, in this 'oh so perfect liberal, democracy, hummanist, PC, 'free' world' of ours...
why cant you all STOP your stupid racist, populist, anti-european propaganda?? its so extremly annoying. you cant avoid all those "we are living under a european dictatorship", "muslims menace our culture" - shit in youtube meantime. you suck so much with this statements. you are the medium for extremists, populists, for hate, crime and disruption. you are the real danger for our continent. and now i even find this brainwahsed statements under THIS song?! whats your basic dysfunction???

@sunzsu He never mentioned Muslims, so I don't know why you brought it up. Scapegoating minorites tends to be the typical response in a breakdown, sadly. The EU is nothing more than a bankers dictatorship, there to impose Schachtian austerity on behalf of the financial system. You saw that in Greece with the mass arrest of the union leaders protesting the austerity policies of the Goldman Sachs criminals who just overthrew the government.

The anti political-correctness song for us now living under the globalist, EU, internationalist yoke!

@bmike653 What?

@Amiduffer The concept of this song more properly applies now to the situation in European nations, Australia, and Canada where they actually burn politically banned & anti-pc books, censor the internet, and throw people in jail for expressing the 'wrong' sort of thoughts regarding certain 'significant' subjects. Germany and Australia are far more draconian in this respect. It might not be easy to grasp, but that depends on your basic conception of 'freedom' and liberty.

@bmike653 No, I understand perfectly. Europe is under a technocratic dictatorship in effect. They just haven't resorted to the outright police state terror tactics yet as the bankers did in the 1920's and 30's, although you're seeing some of that in Greece.
