As mentioned, Hyundai redesigned the seat recline lever. For some reason, people would put the lap portion of the seatbelt between the seat and the recline lever causing the lever to actuate in a crash. I owned an '06 Sonata. The dealer swapped out my seat recline lever. Never occurred to me to put the seatbelt between the seat and the lever, but some idiots did, which would have taken considerable effort!

What you don't understand, commoner, is that I don't drive Asian cars. I drive German. So I don't really give two shits about Hyundai. Or Toyota. Or Nissan. Or Honda.
