If it helps any I feel guilty about Suki's memories by having a new dog but having to channel energy and affection to a new beastie who doesn't know what went before eases the pain a lot. It's a new pup and a new and different responsibility. Please if you get another buy a puppy not a rescue dog and not a pedigree - mutts are good. I am planning a puppy training video which might be of interest

Yes, a change of type no doubt is good.. we're talking 'dog' at home again now, but I don't want another one until Christer is sorted.. We won't be going for a terrier again, much as I love terriers! All I know is that I want a cross, and not overly big.. at the same time, and this may seem stupid, but I feel I'm letting Barney down by even thinking the thought.. .

Good to hear Barney may be on his way to a new life. Tandy is a whole different dog to my last one - just as well in many ways as I don't want too many reminders of Suki - and she is gradually getting us trained! I was given a new laptop by a grateful client this week so I am still finding may way around this one

Looks like you had a great day out.. and that little puppy of yours is absolutely adorable! It will be a while before we will even concider getting a dog again, but we have heard Barney may be re-homed with an elderly gentleman, who has a good hand with 'troublesome' dogs.. and that would be good, if so! He was (is) a lovely dog and deserve a nice home, preferably with a sunny spot..
