Saw these guys play at the Bottom Line in NYC in 1987. Incredible band, incredible material. I've never forgotten the experience. Omar Hakim was playing on the record–looser, but without the power of Chambers. Granger and Chambers were unlike any rhythm section that has ever played this kind of hard fusion.
