Watched this for the first time the other day, I don't think my eyes were truly dry during the entire film. It made Terms of Endearment look like a barrel of laughs.

I remember seeing the previews for this when I was 8 and it sent me into a severe depression. I honestly thought the mother in this movie was mentally ill because she was dressed up like Dorothy from Wizard of Oz so I thought that's what her problem was. I remember going to an Army Navy football game in october of 98 sitting there in depression thinking about this movie. I think it was the Fleetwood Mac song that depressed me the most. I heard that Landslide song after my grandma died

I never heard of this movie, I just watched it last night because I am such a Streep fan. I absolutely LOVED IT and it's now one of my favorites. Thumbs way up!
