It was written by my favorite author, hence the ''something I once read'' statement that prefaces the quote. Books, reading, listening, and comprehension are kinda a big deal. @dadvocate2011 Butterbean had an incredibly short boxing career because he had no endurance and horrific conditioning. His only asset was the ability to knock out glass-jawed hacks with haymakers. That's why he quickly turned to tough man contest against novices with little skill and equally poor athleticism. You should do a little more research before citing such weak examples to support thinly supported positions.

@JustA11en As far as Golf. That fits into one of the definitions of sport. There are 2 definitions of sport by the way. The first definition applies to golf: "Physical activity that is governed by a set of rules or customs and often engaged in competitively".

The second definition is what you believe (only believe, you can't prove): "An activity involving physical exertion and skill that is governed by a set of rules or customs and often undertaken competitively". Goodnight

The boxer butterbean, looks more out of shape than who you mentioned, yet he is far fitter than he looks. He can go hell for leather for a long period of time in the ring, and give/take some of the hardest hits in the world. If you try to argue that he is not an athlete then you're quite stupid.

@JustA11en When it comes to drivers, most of them actually are very well off to get into it. You need money, and a lot of it. It's certainly not for the working class, as you'll find most of them aren't. However, as far as it not being a sport, most people are physically drained and sweating afterwards, with sore bodies. They put their bodies and mind through stress. It's far more than turning left for 4 hours. Plus your argument about out of shape people doesn't really stand up, for example....
