It is the dream of many Kenyans to work and live in the United States of America and one of the ways through which you could find your way there is through the green card lottery. The lottery is on now and the US Embassy in Nairobi is set to give that status to about 3,000 Kenyans. But before you embark on the application process, have you ever asked yourself whether it is worth it or not? Alex Chamwada is back from the US, where he spent time with Kenyans who re-located there, thanks to the green card and filed the following report on their experiences.
A: Specifically this is a respected Profession known as Certified Nursing Assistant, Registered Nurse or Licenced Nursing Practitioner. If one is sick and unable to bath they are helped by these professions. How dare you insult and disrespect them? These people have gone to University or College and dedicated themselves to helping sick people. What about whites who clean blacks? What kind of human being are you? There are white nurses and doctors in Kenya are they also slaves as you put it?

@RepentJesusisComing Then when I was a dish washer in the US I saw my manager clean toilets and unclog them with his bare hands. By the way he was a very wealthy white man.
People working these jobs are paying school fees and doing amazing things in Kenya to the tune of almost 80 billion shillings

4. Are there no dishwashers and manual workers in Kenya. Do we respect them?? Is everyone in Kenya a Mdozi. Is that why most maids are mistreated? Here house maids are treated with the utmost respect and paid very well. Most of them are paid better than most proffessionals in Kenya. 5. We will move forward when a manager in Kenya can take a broom and sweep or clean toilets. That was my first lesson in Kenya and the US. I saw my high school principal from Ireland cleaning our High School toilet.

A, I am tired of Kenyans being insulted for doing manual jobs. I had the same mind set when I left Kenya in 1978. Question 1. Who washes sick patients in Kenya? 2. Kenyans are not the ONLY ones washing most patients in the US? Americans of all colors. My father was visiting fell sick and was washed by Americans of all colors.3. We need to develop a culture of respecting Jobs no matter what one does. Tuumz by disrespecting those Kenyans in the medical profession what have you accomplished?

Countries like Norway,Sweden,Liechtenstein,Germany in Europe are far much better than the U.S. I used to try this Green Card Lottery for over 10 years wasting my time and i have given up.Iam happy here in London,UK with a wonderful job in a multinational company and really making the money here.I have lived and worked in Germany before and belive me Europe is somehow hard but less harder than America,I am happy in the UK and prefer to go the U.S. only on vacation.I no longer want to live there.
