ORBIS EyeReport - ICU2 - Niger 2010

來自亞利桑那州的年輕女孩Megan Day，發起了名為ICU2的活動，把眼鏡捐獻給有需要的人。在2010年的一月，Megan送贈了500副眼鏡，讓奧比斯眼科飛行醫院到訪尼日首都尼亞美時，可以分發給­當地居民。奧比斯在擁有2萬4千人口，靠近尼亞美市中心的落後社區Libore展開社區項目，Megan的慷慨捐助對這個計劃貢獻良多。奧比斯與ICU2及加拿大非牟利團­體Pencil for Kids合作，把Megan捐出的眼鏡，分發給400位受不同眼疾困擾的患者。在戴上眼鏡的一刻，這些眼疾患者的臉上均露出燦爛的笑容。

Megan Day is a young girl from Arizona who started the ICU2 project to provide glasses to those in need. In January of 2010, Megan sent 500 glasses to ORBIS International for its community outreach program associated with its flagship Flying Eye Hospital program in Niamey, Niger. See Megan's contribution to the ORBIS community outreach program in the township of Libore - a 24,000 person rural community near the city center of Niamey, and an area of great need. Working with ICU2 and the Pencil For Kids NGO based in Canada, ORBIS screened nearly 400 people for a variety of eye diseases, and with the help of Megan, distributed glasses to all the patients.
