(Time Crisis: ) Crisis Zone - Stage 1

Crisis Zone is a popular lightgun game from 1999, made by Namco, as a offshoot from the Time Crisis series. Players are now made to use a fully automatic machine gun to mow down enemies.
Many of the enemies can now take a huge amount of hits.

The main parts of the scoring system are from large combos and from the big end of stage time bonus. This run also shows how big some combos can get, but some are not very difficult to make.

This replay is taken from the PS2 version of the game, released in 2004. The PS2 version is slightly different from the arcade release, with updated graphics and some enemy changes.

Sadly, the PS2 version has that annoying smoke screen every time you shoot when using a gun controller, and it even got me bored of the game quickly. There is a smoke reduce option, and a screen where you can change the brightness of the smoke, this is as good as you can get it.

Damm, I have this game at my local arcade which I can play for 20p per go. i can complete the game without using continues (sometimes without loosing a life) but this version seems to have improved graphics and sound (although the flashes and smoke are very annoying).

The enmies here seem to be more accurate (although I saw a couple of instances where he would of got a hit on the arcade version then on my arcade version eg at 0:57). Definetly interesting to watch.

I think the ps2 version is a lot harder, and has quite a few more enemies too.

bah, crisis zone... I like the game but the damn smokescreen plays havoc on the view, not to mention the hit detection sometimes. A shame too, it is a good looking game and a change to the standard pistol combat of Time Crisis, not to mention the port added 3's weapon system into it plus the bonus weapon sections for extra destructive fun. Good game ruined by a crappy special effect.

I take it you won't be doing the other story for the game then?
