From whether or not the government should require some people to be vaccinated to what we should do when we are indeed sick, University of Minnesota Center for Bioethics Director Jeff Kahn says our reactions to these issues represent the highly important issue of what it means to be a good citizen in a pandemic. The H1N1 pandemic has caused us to reevaluate these issues, such as conditioning ourselves to stay home when we are sick, and helping out neighbors that are ill.
