Not long ago, I went to visit my very best friend Diana, who lives near Yosemite National Park. On my birthday, I awoke to a hot cup of fresh espresso and a homemade scone (Diana's a great cook) and an invite to Yosemite. I'd never been there, so what's to say? We had to outrun a big winter storm, so were only there for a few hours, but did manage to visit the Ahwahnee. Because of the short time and poor light, I didn't get many good photos, but thought I'd share what I have. Time to go back! Thanks Diana for the best birthday I've ever had (did I mention the nice dinner later at her house with her specialty, carrot cake? And thanks, Lance, for the yummy homemade stroganoff). Enjoy this great song written by Ian Tyson and originally made popular by Judy Collins. Suzy Bogguss does it justice.
The most beautiful video and music on the world wide web! This experience of
music and natures beauty makes me happy that I am alive even in this trouble
time and world turmoil!
