Most of my co-workers, family and friends are either uninsured or underinsured with some lousy plan THEY have to pay for that would cover just a fraction of their cancer treatment if they ever got the illness. Again, I mean no disrespect to Tony Snow, his family or anyone else who grieves this loss. I just want to emphasize the concern that most of us have is the ominous possibility that we are a paycheck or layoff away from losing our health and our lives.

No offense to Tony Snow or anyone else who has made positive comments about them, but his advice is from a perspective that is much more privileged than the average American. The cost of his health care is covered by the government (which I thought republicans were supposed to oppose) and before that, his employer Fox News. One CT scan costs about $1,000 if you're uninsured, like I am. My employer doesn't offer health care.

This man was TOTAL class! You rarely come across someone like Tony Snow. This man had his head screwed on straight. A well balanced man. God bless his family. RIP Tony Snow. I can't wait to meet you in heaven one day.

To me, Tony Snow was the only straight shooter White House press man we've ever had. The guy didn't take crap from anyone and was always to the point. I'll miss him.
