Boeing has never had as much problem as with the 787 - hope it will all work out for the best in the end.

@lechtenfeld If you currently do not hold advanced degrees in aeronautical engineering and you haven't also worked in tandem with both Boeing and Air Bus over the development cycles of these aircraft you are merely displaying a total lack of knowledge of the technologies required to develop such platforms. Please don't let ideology or some sort of skewed European loyalty be the only reasons for you distaste of an exceptional airframe. Let technology speak, not politics or geographics.

@lechtenfeld If you dislike Boeing for ideological reason because it is an American company, fine. Go and find some anti-American web-site and knock yourself out. The truth is, Boeing creates phenomenal aircraft. Air Bus creates phenomenal aircraft. But don't turn this into some sort of Boeing versus Air Bus posting war that will just devolve into yet another Anti-American smear campaign to ad nauseam.

Boeing don t send anymore some document of 787 performance description to its customer about performance announced and the reality. hmmmmmm ! pinochio game.
It is fist time upon ever seen in aviation. boeing refuse to communicate about it, companies begin to be very anxious. let discover the jet surprise.

Airbus is a better company, they have a better saftey record, but i am a boeign fan, i dislike that airbus... alot

The wingflex is awesome
the landing gear is not retracted on the first flight for safety reasons. Just in case there is some failure then it can still land. If you view the maiden flights of the 747, and 777 you will see that the Landing Gear is not retracted.
