i'm pretty sure the usb streaming DOES NOT WORK with windows XP/vista/windows 7

so you can use usb to transfer files ( slowly - firewire is faster and better), but not as a webcam.in fact i'm wondering what windows system will allow the TRV350 to be used as a webcam?

@mikeydvd1 Tape! Digital8 16:9 far superior quality. Also, playback the tape and press the Photo button for a screen shot or press record and capture a .mpg file. I used it to make screen shots from a digital TV converter box - connect the video/s-video/usb/firewire and switch to VCR mode, then push the Display button on the remote or behind the LCD screen to view the source, then photo or record to memory stick, or use the top pair record buttons onto Digital 8 tape. trv350.angelfire ( .) com.

quick question, when recording, is the memorey stick only for pictures, i have recorded video using memorey stick, and the videos are very poor in quality. I have not tried the tape yet, i just got the camera, no tape yet, which is better, Tape or stick for recording.

The DCR-TRVx50 series actually uses a halogen light bulb for the video lamp, not an LED. That's why it's so bright!
