So anyway, The Old Republic kicks ass and it is flawless! In this video we see a spectacular specimen of the female species serving Darth Vader realness in an Organan compound on Alderaan, looking for information that General Gesselle knows about her former handmaiden.

I recorded this video a while back and it's just been sitting on my desktop waiting to be compressed, but I've been busy going, "Mmm no darling, a galaxy far, far away awaits!" What I love is that, unlike some other RPGs, the game doesn't FORCE you into caving to the general's demands. My choice to lather her secret illegitimate lover with all sorts of fabulous Force choking got me to skip all that ridiculous nonsense, and it just makes me feel so powerful. Ooh baby.

I recommend that anyone who knows what's good for them buy this game. I've played many MMOs (Dark Age of Camelot, Star Wars Galaxies, World of Warcraft, Warhammer Online, and other MMOs that went free to play) and TOR is the only game thus far that I really actually care about the story. That might not be important to people who just like to grind one out before going to bed, but as someone who doesn't enjoy pointless action movies with lots of explosions and no substance, the lack of story depth in MMOs has been a complaint of mine since the beginning of existence. It's not a sandbox like SWG or anything, but thankfully I finally have an MMO with a character who is relevant in the game world and is capable of interacting with it.

Now we just need to fix those horribly clipping boots. Just kidding, they're flawless and they're going to start an amazing new intergalactic fashion trend.

  • That isn't Claudia Black, sorry. It would have been great if she had been involved, but the female Sith Warrior was voiced by an actress called Natasha Little - who was also previously involved with the Dragon Age games.
