Hello, my name is dutro76. From Tokyo
"SUKIMA stove" so cute. Thanks!
"WONDER JSB STOVE" This is an amazing trick.
I have the firepower to light the stove. Of course thin and can be stored.
Both indicate the rising and fast to use carbon felt.
ps: in Tokyo shortly, will be a beautiful cherry blossoms bloom during the warmer months.

Looks similar to a choke hazard stove by minibulldesigns

It's nice to be of some help, but Mr. Burg deserves the credit for the discovery. Take care.

Joshua,
What material are you using for the wick? RJ Burg did a video recently where he showed that the Oatey brand heat shield cloth used by plumbers to keep things from catching fire when they're soldering pipes is actually made of carbon felt and makes a good wick. You can get it at Home Depot for about $16, it's about a foot square if I recall correctly. The flame should burn blue & the wick won't fry.

Thanks for the materials reference! I will check it out! I have been using fiberglass wicks, but carbon felt is much better for many applications. Again, thank you! Peace.

Do you need the protective plastic glove on your right hand when operating the stove? Is there a left handed version of the glove?
I trust that this is a safety feature that maybe comes with the stove.

It's not a glove. That is a splint. I was involved in an accident where I was riding a bike and was hit by a Volvo. One of my injuries resulting was a broken 2nd metacarpal on my right hand. At 5 weeks post-accident, I have now found out that I need surgery. The stove was made by me. Peace.

I have the same issues with my wick stoves burning yellow or orange, in time it gets worse! 10:30 for a boil, ya know I look at it this way whats the hurry if your out to enjoy nature ENJOY it and take a look around while you cook! I like your design Joshua very nice work! Is the wick able to move up or down to make the flame some what adjustable?

Thanks, Drak! Many are big on boil time, but my way of looking at it, if it can boil 2 cups in 20 minutes(!!!!LOL!!!!) or less, than I am happy with this one. It's uber small, extremely light, refuelable, and yes, adjustable. You have to set it before lighting it (much like Tinny's wick stoves), but it is still semi-versatile. It may see some time if I do a solo soon. Still waiting for doc's release though, you know? Thanks again for the comment! Peace.
