@kaleidascopes It's not a plant, it's an animal. Red Bubble Tip Anemone is its name. It's a salt water creature. To keep it happy you need the right light, waterflow and chemical balance in the water. They thrive more easily if you keep one or two clownfish with it, as they provide care, company and a source of food. Please don't jump in and buy one of these without doing a lot of research, as they're more difficult to keep than a fresh water tank, though the rewards are greater!

i have a dumb question. is this a real plant? and if so, i'm assuming it's saltwater tank? also if it is a live plant which i'm sure it is, how do you keep it alive and happy? i'm being serious with these questions, i'm new to this whole aquarium and fish thing. thanks
