@gargarensi You have a point, while it is ridiculous how dozens of soldiers are cut down, I'm sure that it, at the time, seemed to be irrelevant to the production team.
-
He might as well be considering how many Japanese soldiers he kills single handedly. John Woo's character development seems sincere and intriguing but its only undermined by the sheer lunacy of the battle scenes where enemy soldiers are cut down by the hundreds single-handedly.

@gargarensi I realize he's not real, obviously. It's a movie, however, it is gripping the way John Woo tells his story. And who says Marines are impervious to bullets? I certainly didn't.
-
Only he's not real, humans aren't impervious to bullets and marines weren't walking killing machines.

While the effects of this movie are ridiculous most of the time, the concept is really good. John Woo just couldn't really blend that with the effects. I love the realism of Nicolas Cage's character though, there's not one soldier from World War 2 that came out unscathed, whether it be mentally, or physically. The War Crazy scene just ahead of this one is really gripping.

The amount of explosions in this movie is fucking ridiculous! Virtually everything is explosive or flammable lol
-
I actually used to like this movie.... I was only 13 lol

Probably that yellow spot is a watermark.
-
@legendkiller2004 yeah ur right that is the reason im interested in world war 2 than modern combat
-
I admire World War Two veterans and history, but this film is a god damn diservice to them!
What's that yellow spot in the footage? It Looks like a grenade on it's side.
