Black Mind

A lone man awakes to the middle of nowhere... He is at the dead end of a dirt road... His head is bloody and he doesn't know how he got hurt or who he is for that matter. All he knows is that someone wants him dead!

This is an extremely low budget film made during the summer of 2008. I had written the screenplay about six months earlier but had no actors and no crew. My best friend since high school who had no acting experience decided to take the lead. His wife took a part as well. I also had my cousin help me with audio. They surpassed my expectations in every way! There were only four of us. It took us four separate production days and many hours editing to complete this film. The music that's included in this cut is not what the movie was cut to back in 2008. I had used soundtracks from movies but couldn't upload that version. Instead I decided to use music from a film I'm currently working on. This is the first time I have ever developed music. The film I'm working on now is only 10 minutes with triple the dialogue of Black Mind. Trying to make 1 minute and 30 seconds fill out a 30 minute short film is tough. So I apologize if it get repetitive. I'd rather the film have music than not. Lastly I put together a feature length documentary that covers the entire film making process. Screenwriting.
