For Those In Peril On The Sea - ukulele improvisation

This beautiful hymn is also known as "Eternal Father, Strong To Save". The words were written in 1860 and the tune (Melita) in 1861. Melita is an old name for the island of Malta where the apostle Paul was shipwrecked.

The hymn is particularly associated with the Royal Navy, Canadian Navy and the United States Navy.

I'm playing an Ohana TK-35CG.

When I wanted to see if a uke recording of this tune exists, I foolishly didn't think to type in Ken Middleton first. I should have known that 1. Ken would hold a fondness for this piece, and 2. It would sound great--as long as it was not interrupted by helicopters flying by :)
