Seek I am probably going to piss u off but I agree that there should be more "conservative" leaning in the textbooks for history and social studies. Now my definition of conservative and my fellow republicans differs greatly. I am tired of have History being politicized by both sides why can't the kids be taught what happened and why it did or did not work without politics being involved. That is my definition of "Conservative" teaching. BTW I was and am a History major here in Oklahoma.
United States is going down because of these religious fucktard. Worst, they know it to but they think god will help them. They are going towards the same stoneage society that Islamist are right now. Bye bye science. Bye bye United States.
Are the people on this "board" elected to their positions, or are they assigned political hacks? Either way, it's up to the people of Texas to oust these irresponsible crooks and replace them with people who are sane.
For some reason, the bit that bugs me the most is the part towards the end with Ms. Cargill requiring that sociology textbooks include a section emphasizing 'personal responsibility for life choices'. The topic of sociology tends to blame society for everything, Ms. Cargill said. The stupid /burns/. Sociology is the study of the behavior of /societies/, individual choices are outside its scope, and saying sociologists 'blame society for everything' is just ignorant as hell...

They have to "add balance." After all, it's well-known that reality itself has a liberal bias.
