another thing, everyone of your techniques is shown with very little resistance! like in this video the triangle isnt even 100% tight. i wish you guys would make it more "real" or at least add more resistance so that it makes the move look effective. im sorry if my opinion seems harsh but i actually like watching your videos i can say that i ive learned a lot from you guys. im just saying with this technique and others you make it look too easy.

@juneda33 These are INSTRUCTIONAL videos. That is how techniques are taught. No one learns a move if your partner is resisting in the beginning. It is done this way to show all the steps and break it down in a correct manner. If not, it simply becomes a grappling match. If there is too much resistance to get this move, you need to switch to another. That is what jiu jitsu is about.

It's not really relevant to the particular video, but as a new bjj practitioner my self ( white belt) I have to say that your videos are very controversial. Some like them and some hate them. I personally think you are doing a great work.

Not a valid technique! I say try anything when you need to escape, but this is not technically sound. When securing a triangle from guard, one of the essential steps is to hook a leg and swing out to deepen the lock. This 'escape' puts the feet right where you want them, also, even if the lock is broken, the person pushes your feet away and takes mount. Again, not a valid technique.

@redrivermma Absolute statements for martial arts are something to avoid. I've used this many times and have seen it used many times. I've seen high level instructors TEACH this as well. Does it work 100% of the time? Of course not. Nor does an arm bar but we never question that. If the triangle is broken and even creates a scrabble, you have survived the attempt. Not all moves work on all people 100% of the time. If they did, we'd only need one move for everything.
