I hate the way they portray Lady Miyako in this film. In the manga, she's a psycic and can hold her own against Tetsuo, and has a very important part in the story. In this film, she's just some old gypsie who screams for help when death comes her way.

Joker doesn't even exist here. And they pay no attention to Akira himself. They make him seem like a normal kid with god-like powers, but his powers destroyed his personality in the manga.

Still, the movie is baddass and one of my favorites.

I hope they never make a live action film but if they did it would be worth it for Tetuso's rampage. The Wachowski brothers in their prime could possibly do it, or Peter Jackson.
