Morality is subjective, if it's Christian.
They came up with tying up the accused and throwing them in the water. If they float they're a witch and are executed. If they sink and die they're innocent and go to heaven. Small consolation.
So, better dead or deformed than red. Oops, that happened too didn't it?
That why when see people with the 'These colors don't run' flag on the car, I whip out my paint pen and write 'tell that to our allies in Saigon, er, Ho Chi Minh city' on it.

think that was more of an question of how someone can justify that morally, not the actual way it happend..
..how could kennedy approve a plan to spread pesticide over a country just to assert power to some dictator.

Cops need chemicals, 'cause chemicals don't seem to have anything to do with force. Force is all blood and guts, isn't it?
Chemical is all about science. and so the dispute goes on and on.
Cops don't use chemicals unless they reassert absolute authority.
Chemicals are about breath-takingly gross profits.

President Ngo Dinh Diem of South Vietnam asked the United States to conduct aerial herbicide spraying in his country as a way of deny the Vietcong both cover and food.
President Kennedy approved it's use in 1961 so long as it was approved of the by US embassy, MACV (Military Assistance Command Vietnam) and South Vietnamese government.
Operation Ranch Hand, the designation for the program, began in January 1962 and ended in 1971.
